It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of August Weinkauf on December 19, 2025 at the North Battleford Union hospital, with his family by his side. He passed peacefully at the age of 89.
July of 1961, August married the love of his life Delphina Rolheiser. August started work with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a helper in October of 1962, in Unity, Sk. They welcomed a daughter in December of 1963.
In August of 1964 they moved to Winter, Sk. where August was asked to be an Elevator Agent for the Pool. While living there they welcomed another daughter in December of 1965.
August was then asked to take over the Elevator in Reward, Sk. so, in 1967 they moved. They welcomed their son in February of 1969. While there, the Pool took over another Elevator so August ran both until they closed in 1994.
August enjoyed playing cards, dancing, camping, fishing, golfing. Spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
August is survived by his wife of 64 years, Delphina

August was predeceased by his parents, John and Katherine Weinkauf, and
sister Anne Grunsky, brother in laws Joe Stang, Edward Sieben, Leo Gartner, Ed Tameling, Nick Grunsky and Joe Baier
