It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Agnes Watson, who left us peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the Biggar Long Term Care Facility, at the age of 91.
Agnes was predeceased by her parents, Alice and Robertson McNeil;
her brothers, Bill and Charlie McNeil; and
her treasured travelling companions who shared many adventures with her over the years.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Brian (Berni) Watson;
her grandchildren, Breanne (Brenen) Harrabek, Lindsay (Josh) Hooper, and Hailey (Scott) Watson; and
her great-grandchild, Adrianna Hooper.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law Vera McNeil,
brother-in-law Sheldon Watson,
along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Agnes attended Oban School before later continuing her education at Thornton School in Biggar. In 1983, she moved from the family farm into Biggar, where she continued to build a
life rich with community, companionship, and love. A woman full of spirit and adventure, Agnes cherished bus trips to places like Laughlin, Las Vegas, and Branson, as well as road trips throughout Western Canada and Ontario. She even drove the Alaskan Highway and attended the World's Fair in Seattle.
Agnes was a devoted member of the Royal Purple and the Oxborough Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She also enjoyed bingo nights, playing cards with the gals, and attending many dances at
the hall over the years. She found joy in entertaining friends and family, creating warm memories through her generosity, humor, and welcoming nature.
Above all, Agnes will be remembered for her kindness, her love of laughter, and her unwavering devotion to her family.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
